“Contact groups” - small family units
All our students are divided into contact groups before the school year even begins.
Every group has a contact teacher - and it works in the term as a family! So the teacher keeps an extra eye on the students in the group. Several times a year the teacher has individual talks with the contact students with focus on student well being, school life, and academic issues.
The teacher also has the primary contact with the parents. So if the parents have any concerns - or the school has - then the contact teacher will be the first person to reach out to!
Several times during the year the academic schedule is replaced by contact group activities. It can be a contact group day, a visit at the contact teacher’s house, a contact group battle etc.
