What is Cambridge IGCSE?
Students from all around the world can come to T.I. and study Cambridge IGCSEs. The grades can be used to further their education. At The International we’ve been a certified Cambridge school and examination center since we opened in 2016. We offer 8 different academic subjects.
Normally the IGCSE is a 2 year program - BUT our students finish the full program in 1 school year (from August to June).
It is ambitious - BUT it is nothing to be scared of! We make it possible! But! We need our students to be academically motivated!
How do we succeed? First of all - we don’t have classes divided by age - instead it’s all about levels! Our students are tested in the beginning of the school year (in math and science) - and we make the classes based on those levels.
Please note! You don’t have to be a straight A-student to be a student at TI - BUT! You need to take your academics seriously!

Our students have 5 Cambridge subjects in total. During the year we prep them for the exams with mocks (November and January).
The results from the mocks in January are used to apply for (pre)-IB/high school etc.
Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is for students between 14-17 years. The curriculum varies within each subject, but is generally equivalent to 9-10th grade studies in Denmark.
We have chosen Cambridge at TI because it is truly an international curriculum. With standards that are aligned with the GCSE in England, it gives our students a lot of options after their year here!
In many subjects there is a choice between core and extended curricula, making Cambridge IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities.
Grades are benchmarked using eight internationally recognised grades, A* to G, which have clear guidelines to explain the standard of achievement for each grade.
IGCSE is recognized internationally and can be found in thousands of schools in more than 140 countries around the world. All schools use the same Cambridge curriculum and this makes it easy to transfer from one school to another without major difficulties.
PLEASE NOTE:
But.. Cambridge IGCSE is the perfect first step to be prepared for what IB has to offer!
Please note: Normal requirement for direct entry to the IB-Diploma course dictates that you achieve a B grade average from your 5 IGCSE subjects, and attend an interview at your chosen IB Gymnasium.
However, the application process varies from school to school and country to country, so please contact the relevant institution for further information.
Whilst The International cannot guarantee enrollment to your chosen IB school, we will prepare you for the challenges that come with an international education.
