Cambridge Spanish

Cambridge German 

This course is primarily aimed for students who want to study German as a second language. 

The aim of the class is to develop language skills for practical communication. The focus of the course is on 4 different components:

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Speaking
  • Writing 

Besides the language skills, the aim of the German classes is also to offer insights into the culture and civilisation of countries where German is spoken. 

This syllabus is designed for learners who are learning German as a foreign language. The aim is to develop an ability to use the language effectively for practical communication. The course is based on the linked language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing, and these are built on as learners progress through their studies.


Please note: We don’t recommend native German speakers to take this class.

Cambridge French

The French class is primarily aimed to improve students who have French as a second language. The aims are to improve their conversational language.

Like the other foreign languages, it is also a part of the curriculum to offer the students insights into culture and society of countries where French is spoken. 

The focus of the course is on 4 different components:

  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Speaking
  • Writing 

The subject content is organized in five broad topic areas. The study of these topic areas enables students to gain an insight into countries and communities where French is spoken. The five topic areas are:

A. Everyday activities
B. Personal and social life
C. The world around us
D. The world of work
E. The international world

Please note that the French class isn’t recommended for beginners nor native speakers. 

Cambridge Spanish

This syllabus is designed for students who are learning Spanish as a foreign language. The aim is to develop an ability to use the language effectively for practical communication. The course is based on improving the language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.

The subject content is organized in five broad topic areas The study of these topic areas enables students to gain an insight into countries and communities where Spanish is spoken. 

A. Everyday activities
B. Personal and social life
C. The world around us
D. The world of work
E. The international world

The students will be expected to read and understand a variety of written and spoken texts on familiar topics. They will also have opportunities to write in Spanish on familiar, everyday topics, and to speak the language by taking part in everyday conversations.

At the end of the school year the students are tested in 4 different exams:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Listening
  • Speaking
