Martin Holk Pedersen; the football player returns home
Football has been a big part of my life since I was a child and laced up my football boots for the first time - the dream at the time was to become the next Zidane or Gerrard.
The passion for football has held ever since. After a year at VI and three at Gymnasium, I moved east, where I got the opportunity to train elite football in Randers FC. It was then that I realized how much I enjoy teaching and training others. It was therefore natural that I started the education to become a teacher in Aarhus.
After a couple of years in Randers FC, I switched to the rivals from AGF, where I trained various elite teams and at the same time was responsible for football on a talent optimization project, which AGF did in collaboration with DBU.
As a former student, I had no doubt that I wanted to work at Vedersø Idrætsefterskole and The International when the opportunity arose. Teaching, 'efterskole'-life life and football is the perfect combi for me.
After school fills the backpack with communities, friendships for life and good values that you can take with you further in life.

My primary goal in working with young people
I want to help give them the best year of their lives.
I think it's very important to be a team player for the students. But it is important to challenge them as well so that they can evolve in every aspect.
Martin's speciality; football

Football! With many years of experience coaching football players in a couple of professional football teams, it is easy to say football is my speciality. My finest task is to give all the young people the best opportunity to improve while having fun.
My goal is to develop the individual player and help them to reach their full potential - regardless of level! It is about getting the players to use their skills for the good of the team. Together we are stronger, and together we succeed.
Football is a complex sport where many skills and decisions have to be used and made when entering the chaos on the field. We will focus on this complexity through technical and tactical training.
We want to create a training environment where expectations and goals are clear - but it is the passion and heart that drives it all. It should be fun to play football!
No matter your level, I will help you to become a better footballer while attending The International.
