Henrik "Carpenter" Pedersen has tried many a thing in the world of soccer
Went from being the sweeper boy in a warehouse and then into the office where I was trained as an office assistant. It was during this time that the football name "Carpenter" emerged as I showed up for football training directly from work in my work clothes.
When I finished my training as an office assistant, I was employed at the same place as an order & sales assistant, and on October 1, 1995, I went down to part-time in the office as I had gotten a football contract - which was also part-time - at Silkeborg IF. The following year, I was signed on a full-time contract on October 1, 1996.
I made my national team debut in August 2000 and was sold to the English Premier League club Bolton in 2001. After six fantastic years in Bolton, came a move to Hull City in the second-best English league. After one season in Hull, I went home to Silkeborg IF in 2008.
I retired as a football player in December 2012 and made a switch from ballplayer to beer seller at my own Sportspub "Målet" in Silkeborg, which I bought in 2009.

It's a pleasure and a privilege to help develop the individual students - and help them believe in themselves. Even when you have to take a shot with the non-dominant leg. :)
