Are you the type of person who likes to speak and learn foreign languages? Someone who doesn't want language to limit them? Well, if that describes you, then The International is the place to be. Here you can choose between German or Spanish as your second foreign language and you furthermore have the opportunity to learn French, Chinese, Italian or maybe even other languages...

Second Foreign Language

Language acquisition is an integral part of the international dimension and The International - Academy and Boarding School of Denmark offers you the opportunity to continue, or learn, a second foreign language. Whether you prefer German, Spanish or other languages, you will receive excellent training in your desired language and will work on all the key language skills to develop your ability to use the language effectively for practical communication.

You will also gain insight into the culture of countries where the language is spoken, thus encouraging positive attitudes towards language learning and towards speakers of foreign languages.

We currently offer German or Spanish as the mandatory second languages. If you have previous experience with French and want to continue with that, we can help prepare you for the exam and develop your language skills. Chinese and Italian are offered as extra-curricular Beginners' languages.

Danish

If you are one of our many international students, who doesn't already speak Danish, but would like to take on the challenge of learning it, then it is possible at The International.

There is currently no IGCSE available for Danish, but we will provide Danish as a Second Language tuition for any international student wishing to learn Danish whilst at the school.
