Tumbling and Team Gym

Offered as an extra-curricular activity in association with Vedersø Idrætsefterskole, you will obtain the experience of acquiring new skills, through personal and group involvement within jump gymnastics, rhytm and tumbling. The content includes warm up to music, training of basic jumps and more advanced jumps dependent on your level and the level of the group in question.

School’s facilities include a Gymnastic Hall and Spring Centre, where 3 pits, 15 metre HGB fibre track, 15 metre Air-Track Pro, 5 large trampoline beds, Pegasus, Dorado, MD- and PE mini-trampolines, 3 soft mats and all sorts of equipment, which is always at the ready for lessons and free time, making this a mecca for tumbling and Team Gym.

TeamGym: rhythm and powerful jumps

TeamGym is all about combining rhythm, coordination and power. By combining rhytm and jump, you get a varied and interesting training course, and we don’t leave it at training, we also compete in the Danish TeamGym Championship as well as the West Jutland Championship.

The elective is for both guys and girls who wish to improve themselves in several areas. TeamGym is all about the team and teamwork is a big part of the elective as well as how we are judged in the competitions.

The elective is built upon the three-pronged competition style, where we practice and perform rhythm series, jump on mats and jumps on trampoline, where on jumps is over Pegasus.

We work both with your individual level and with improving the team as a whole, so we can hopefully kick ass at some competitions.

Power tumbling: the way forward is backwards.

Power tumbling is a branch withing the field of jump gymnastics where the main focus lies upon backward rotating jumps. A power tumbling series is made up of 5-8 combinations on a 25-meter-long fiber mat, so speed and power are essential components.

In our tumbling elective you will experience skilled coaches who can guide you on the basis of your level and help you and the team to improve. If you choose this elective, we expect you to already know the basics, however, come have a chat with us, and we’ll see where you’re at.

We participate in tumbling and jump competitions throughout the year, so you and the team will get to test your skills against others.

Please note that these electives are taught in Danish together with students from Vedersø Idrætsefterskole. Instruction will be given in English when/if necessary.
